We would love to have more families involved in developing the organization to make an impact for the SETBP1 community. If you are interested, please reach out to SETBP1 Society.

Kelsey Bennett
Kelsey Bennett
PR Volunteer

Kelsey resides in Omaha, NE and currently works at DocuSign. She and her husband, Kyle, have 2 little ones, Kemri (5) and Kellen (3) with one on the way in April! In her spare time, she loves to bake and is trying to perfect homemade cinnamon rolls.

Although Kelsey does have a Minor in Public Relations, she has a much more personal tie to our community. She is the loving aunt to Corey who was diagnosed with SETBP1 disorder in 2019. Kelsey says, “While writing and public speaking are a passion of mine, it takes a whole new form when I write for Corey and all of his SETBP1 friends. I want nothing more than the world to see them, to know them and to cheer all of them on! I’m so touched for the opportunity to help tell the story of these remarkable humans and their loved ones.”

Janaye Atkinson
Janaye Atkinson
Social Media Volunteer

Janaye lives in Louisville, KY with her husband and six children. In April 2020 one of her twin daughters, at 2.5 years old, was diagnosed with SETBP1 disorder. The journey to diagnosis (though relatively short) was long and hard- faught for. Today, her family are grateful to have some answers and even more thankful for a community to stand with. When she isn’t driving to or from therapy, she can be found homeschooling her children. She enjoys cooking for family and friends, relaxing outdoors, and exploring new places with her family when she can. You can find her on Facebook and Instagram sharing SETBP1 facts and related info with the world. She hopes to use these platforms to raise awareness and cultivate community for the diagnosed and their families.
